Since 1986, when the College of Management - Academic Studies (COMAS) was first authorized to award academic degrees, we have stood at the forefront of Israeli higher education, developing into a leading educational institution committed to providing students with professional grounding in their particular discipline with strong practical orientation. As a result, the College of Management - Academic Studies (COMAS) graduates readily find employment in the Israeli marketplace while those who choose to continue with their studies are consistently successful in the graduate schools of Israel (including graduate programs at COMAS) or abroad.
Today approximately 12,000 students are enrolled in the various programs offered at the College of Management - Academic Studies (COMAS), while 40,000 alumni are playing a leading role in all sectors of Israel’s economy. the College of Management - Academic Studies (COMAS) is now the largest college in Israel and it leads in the award of master's degrees among Israeli colleges.
However, the activities of our institution are not limited to teaching alone. The College of Management - Academic Studies (COMAS) initiates academic activities to expand the bounds of knowledge and contribute to the country’s development. Every year, we sponsor a large number of conferences, both international and local, and our faculty members have attained a reputation for their high level of research in a variety of fields, something of which I am particularly proud.
The College of Management - Academic Studies (COMAS) is completely self-supporting financially, and is committed to the democratization of Israel’s higher education. This commitment rests on our belief that the intellectual capability of our country’s young generation is its most precious asset and that every individual must be given the opportunity to realize his or her potential to the fullest.
Leveraging on our standing, and in line with the global trend, we have begun a large scale process of internationalization. I believe that implementing such steps in every aspect of our activities (teaching, research, studying) will lead to an international atmosphere, and to global visibility and activity that will impact our researchers, staff, students and administrators, advancing us immensely, as is the case in similar institutions around the world. I have no doubt in my mind that Israeli and international students alike will be able to significantly benefit from this process – academically, professionally and personally.
