Prof. Navot teaches Constitutional Law and her mail fields of research are Constitutional and Parliamentary law, institutional powers and Comparative Constitutional Law. Navot was a visiting professor at various universities and for the last few years is a regular visiting professor at the University of Paris I (Sorbonne). She serves also as a visiting Professor at the National Security College.
Navot was member of several public committees, such as the Knesset public committee appointed to prepare an Ethic code for the Israeli Parliament, Member of the Public Committee appointed by the Israeli President for the Presidential volunteers' award. Currently she is a member of the Public Committee appointed by the Israeli President for the Presidential award and a member of the Board of Directors for the Civil Service education program.
Navot has prepared many written opinions for the Knesset Committees and other government institutions, She has served as a consultant to different branches of government, public institutions as well as private lawyers, in constitutional questions.
Navot speaks fluently English, Hebrew, Spanish and French and has a very good knowledge of Italian. She participates frequently in conferences and seminars in Europe, and has lectured in international seminars at the French National Assembly, at the Belgium Senate, at the Italian Parliament and at the Constitutional Court in Rome.
Navot is the author of the book "The Constitutional Law of Israel" (Kluwer 2007). Her new book on "The Constitution of Israel: a contextual analysis" is forthcoming (2013) by Hart Publishing. She has many chapters on books as well as dozens of legal articles, in different languages
