This program is the first of its kind in Israel. It combines inter-disciplinary views of the family institution – sociological, psychological, cultural, legal and economical. The program teaches the currently growing field of family studies, focusing on the ever-changing and multi-cultural character of families, both at the personal and social levels. The program also focuses on the needs of the person within the family and on the role the family has - as a functional entity -in meeting these needs. In dealing with these issues, we also refer to the state, civil society and the market.
The lecturers in the MA Program in Family Studies are among the leaders in this field in Israel. The program is structured based on the LFI model - Levels of Family Involvement Model.
Practicum
The program includes practicum whose goal is development of the professional identify through practical experience in the counseling and family guidance process. The practicum includes group workshop as well as team guidance by experienced professionals.
