Student Involvement
“Eli’s Home ” was founded to provide neglected children aged 7-12 in Rishon Lezion with a warm and caring environment after school. COMAS has adopted the Home giving practical and tactical help. COMAS’ staff have contributed schooling equipment, clothes, toys, books, furniture, school-bags, daily sandwiches etc. The Student Union has also held a fund-raising session for the Home.
COMAS also provides the children with cultural enrichment museum visits, trips etc
- Student scholarship recipients are required to devote several hours weekly volunteering in the community.
- As part of their degree course students of Behavioral Sciences engage in fieldwork in a variety of human service areas.
- Students are involved in the "Ray of Light" project which provides an emergency framework for children and youth who have to leave their homes for various reasons.
- Students assist elementary school pupils with severe listening and concentration difficulties to return to mainstream classes.
- Students assist at a club for blind youth, a center for the retarded, a psychiatric hospital etc
- Legal assistance is afforded by students under faculty supervision to help residents in nearby neighborhoods with their legal problems.
- Students studying towards the M.A. degree in Organizational Development and Consulting give organizational advice to non profit organizations within the framework of their studies
