BA Media Studies
The School of Media Studies at The College of Management Academic Studies is the first media school in Israel that has offered a B.A degree in Media Studies and Management since 1995.
During their studies, the students are required to acquire a large number of tools that rely on a variety of disciplines, including media studies, business management, design and visual studies as well as computer science.
The curriculum fuses theoretical and practical studies in various media fields and in different forms. The theoretical studies provide a solid background for understanding the principles, processes, structure and function of the media while the practical studies allow students to acquire skills and hands-on experience in operating technological and advanced communications systems.
At the beginning of their studies, Students are required to choose one of two specialization tracks: Marketing and Advertising or Content Media Creation. Alongside basic courses, introduction to the fundamentals of media, and management studies courses, students will study theoretical courses and workshops designed for their chosen specializations tracks.
At the end of the first academic year, students are required to choose one of the three concentrations offered: design, media production or digital media. In these workshops-based concentrations, students acquire the tools that will provide them with the basis required to deal with other media areas. In the third academic year students continue their studies specialization and workshops and implement their
final project in collaboration with the industry and fellow students along their specializations tracks.
The new curriculum, together with state-of-the-art facilities such as radio and TV recording studios, advanced editing and sound rooms, a digital lab, and experienced, dedicated and professional faculty members, provide the best media education and training in Israel today.
